Why did Moon Pie Enterprises start?
We wanted to create biodegradable, minimal-chemical baby wipes we would use ourselves, then expand that thinking to more biodegradable and flushable personal-care and cleaning products.
What products are being developed?
Our roadmap includes baby wipes, makeup wipes, personal-care wipes, animal wipes and dry paper-based products, sized appropriately for their intended use.
What is AS/NZS 5328:2022?
It is the Australian and New Zealand Flushable Products standard. Developed with utilities and industry groups, it sets criteria, test methods and labelling expectations that products should satisfy before making a flushable claim.
What does the flushability testing cover?
Testing considers toilet and household drain-line clearance, pump compatibility, rapid disintegration into small pieces, settling behaviour in treatment plants and biodegradation. Compliant flushable wipes must not contain plastic.
How should a compliant product be labelled?
Only products that pass the standard's requirements should display the approved flushable symbol or claim compliance with AS/NZS 5328:2022. Always follow the directions on the individual pack.
What is the “4Ps” rule?
Australian water authorities commonly advise flushing only pee, poo, toilet paper and products carrying clear proof that they meet the Flushable Products Standard.
Are all three brands ready to purchase?
No. Nippon Soft is the flagship range, Sumo Soft is the second brand, and Aussie Soft is presented as coming soon. Availability and retailer links should be confirmed for each market before launch.
Where can I find each formula?
Nippon Soft's INCI list is published on its product page. The original Sumo Soft and Aussie Soft pages do not provide approved ingredient lists, so those disclosures remain pending rather than being inferred.
